It is a short term loan service and lasts as long as the battery charge capacity of around 3 hours. Students can borrow a laptop using their student card. The laptop is provided without a charger nor a bag and should only be plugged in to charge when it is returned to the locker. If you plug it in to charge whilst using it, your data will be lost. Please note that a £10 per day fine is chargeable for any late returns.
Longer Term Loans
Students can also hire a laptop from the IT Service Desk for longer periods. Laptops loans cost £10 for 3 days, or £20 for 7 days. You'll need to pay for the hire period costs up front before you get the laptop. We accept cash or valid credit/debit cards. Please note that a £10 per day fine is chargeable for any late returns.
